Reminder to all spikeball teams the tournament will be held this Saturday, January 12th @ 2 pm.
We will be passing out shirts during lunch periods on Friday, January 11th!

Attention All Juniors!
The Writing SOL is March 5-8 and is a requirement for graduation! Writing Center Coaches are trained to help you prepare for the essay and the multiple-choice sections! 
The Writing Center is open during 5th and 6th periods in room 529. Stop by today!

Students interested in applying for Career and Technical Education (CTE) classes at Dowell J. Howard Center must complete the application by February 28, 2019.  The online application can be found on the Frederick County Website under the Dowell J. Howard Webpage.

Club News
Attention DECA members going to States. There is a mandatory meeting immediately after school on Tuesday, January 15th. The meeting will only last 10 minutes. See Mrs. Stover for any questions.

Forensics Game Night
The MHS Forensics Team is sponsoring a Board Game Night at the Winchester Book Gallery located in the downtown walking mall at  7 N Loudoun Street. It is from 6-8 on Friday, January 11. There will be snacks, prizes, and fun games to play like Jenga, Monopoly, Pandemic, Scattergories, Guess Who, card games, and many, many more. Anyone is welcome to come (especially anyone interested in joining the team)! Bring your friends, have fun, and show some love to your local bookstore.

The Interact Club will hold a meeting from 2:45 until 3:45 on Monday, January 14th and on Wednesday, January 16th to prepare for Cancer Awareness Week.  Please bring items for our "Date Night" themed basket.

Theatre Appreciation Club will meet today in room 533 to discuss the Finding Neverland play date and seating selection. Dues are $10.00 and can be paid starting today. If you do not have your dues, please come to the meeting anyway. New members are ALWAYS welcome! If you have any questions, stop by room 533 or ask a club officer:

Guidance News
Attention Seniors:  
Have you or are you planning to apply to Virginia Tech?  Do you have a 3.8 GPA or higher?  If so, please come to the Guidance Office and give your name to Mrs. Jones, the Guidance Secretary.  Millbrook will be submitting one nominee for the Virginia Tech Pamplin Leadership Award.  Submit your name to the Guidance Office in order to be considered for this award.

Attention Seniors- The Local Scholarship Form is now available to fill out online. In order to be eligible for a local scholarship this form must be filled out. Go to our Millbrook High School Webpage and under quick links select School Counseling the form is located under Resources. You must complete the Google form by March 15, 2019.  

Students who took the PSAT in October may attend an informational score report session on January 14th at 9:30 in the auditorium.  Please check into your 2nd block class for attendance and then promptly report to the room.  At this session you will get your score report and your test booklet.  We will review the score report as well as discuss next steps.  Student who do not attend may pick up their materials in guidance Jan. 15th - 17th.
